The Healing Circle

At large, American obstetricians today treat woman’s bodies like birthing machines needing to be worked by skilled technicians with semi-flexible timetables, production needs and quality control demands.

When a woman is treated like a machine often fear and trauma will become her fuel . . .

But we can heal.

Birth is not a tow-trip to the mechanic or a medical emergency. It’s a beautiful, natural process of the woman’s body.

At the Healing Circle we come together to actively shift our mindsets. With open hearts and ears we share our experiences, commiserate injustices, and consider what we can do moving forward to make the world of birthing and parenting a safe, holistic space for us and our children.

EVERY PERSON

It’s imperative we understand as a society that EVERY PERSON, regardless of economic status or ethnicity, is entitled to maternity care which . . .

  • honors bodily autonomy
  • respects individual identity and values
  • Encourages one to trust themselves
  • stands for dignity and equality
